Community Patrol Update – Castle Donington |
Dear Members,
I had a busy but positive day on patrol yesterday, making the most of the excellent weather while engaging with the local community. The day began at a beat consultation event with the Castle Donington Classic Car Club at the Community Hub. The event was very well attended, with a wide range of classic and vintage cars and motorcycles on display, and provided a valuable opportunity for positive engagement with members of the public. While at the event, I assisted a male who experienced a medical episode. Working alongside Castle Donington Parish Council staff, we provided care and support until the arrival of the ambulance. This was a strong example of effective partnership working. Throughout the day, I completed over three miles of foot patrol around Castle Donington, during which I attended an anti-social behaviour (ASB) neighbour-related incident, offering advice and reassurance. I also visited the new skate park at Spittal Park, where I spoke with a number of young people who were making positive use of the facility. This is a welcome community asset, and I will continue to visit the area to help ensure it is respected and used as intended.
